CERN, the Large Hadron Collider, the Bottomless Pit of Revelation 9 and the 5th Trumpet Judgment of God. Understanding End-Times events based on the Bible, not the rumours of conspiracy theorists.

CERN & The Bottomless Pit

 

REVELATION 9:1-11

 

Before I really get into the sermon, let me just point out a few things about this passage.

 

1. Revelation 9:1-11 is about the 5^th TRUMPET JUDGMENT which happens during GOD’S WRATH after the Tribulation and after the rapture of the Saints.

 

And that’s a KEY point to this sermon: the timing of apocalyptic events.

 

2. The fifth angel in v. 1 who sounds the trumpet IS NOT the same as the star (or angel) which falls from heaven in the same verse.

 

We see that the 5^th angel sounds his trumpet, and a star descends from heaven and the KEY to the bottomless pit is given to that star, not to the 5^th angel.

 

Now Angels are sometimes referred to in the Bible as stars.

For example when God says to Job in Job 38:4-7:

⁴ Where wast thou when I laid the foundations of the earth? declare, if thou hast understanding.

⁵ Who hath laid the measures thereof, if thou knowest? or who hath stretched the line upon it?

⁶ Whereupon are the foundations thereof fastened? or who laid the corner stone thereof;

⁷ When the morning stars sang together, and all the sons of God shouted for joy?

 

We see also in v. 11. That the angel of the bottomless pit is described as Apollyon or Abaddon.

 

And they had a king over them, which is the angel of the bottomless pit, whose name in the Hebrew tongue is Abaddon, but in the Greek tongue hath his name Apollyon.

 

3. Lastly, as a side-note notice that in v. 4 that the locusts are commanded to only hurt those who do not have “have the seal of God in their foreheads.”

 

If you’re familiar w/ the book of Revelation, the 144,000 were sealed in the first ½ of ch. 7, right before the Rapture of the Saints which occurs in the 2^nd half of ch. 7 …

 

& we see in Rev. 9:4 that the 144,000 will be here during God’s wrath at the 5^th Trumpet.

 

Again, Rev. 9:4: “And it was commanded them that they should not hurt the grass of the earth, neither any green thing, neither any tree; but only those men which have not the seal of God in their foreheads.”

 

And so by deduction, we see that those who were sealed in Rev. 7 (the 144,000) will be here during the TRUMPET JUDGMENTS. But they’ll be supernaturally protected.

 

And the reason that I’m bringing all this up, is that there’s a lot of talk today about CERN and the Large Hadron Collider in Switzerland & people are very confused about what it is & what it means in terms of End-Times events.

 

And I’ve put off preaching on it for a few weeks, because it really gets into the realm of science fiction & speculation and pseudo-apocalyptic views of the Bible.

 

But a lot of people are actually CONCERNED about CERN, and there’re a lot of rumours going around – much like the Shmitah and the Blood Moons that I covered last time & the COMET that was supposed to hit the earth today, according to conspiracy theorists, September 23, 2015.

 

So this is telling me is that we’re in that phase of the Bible where – if you can see the analogy – where there’re lots of mentions of wars & rumours of wars (And CERN, the COMET, the Shemitah, etc. just happen to fall under “RUMOURS”).

 

And so I wanted to take a few moments to address this from a Bible perspective.

 

And what I’m surprised about is that I’m even hearing pastors adding to the fear-mongering, without counter-balancing what they are saying with what the Bible says.

 

Even Stephen Hawkings, the most famous physicist in the world today, is deeply concerned about CERN.

 

But Stephen, just needs to open up a Bible and read the Book of Revelation.

 

Hawkings has said: “The God particle found by CERN could destroy the universe and cause a catastrophic vacuum decay which would cause space and time to collapse.”

 

Sergio Bertolucci, former Director for Research and Scientific Computing for CERN also said: “The super collider could open otherworldly doors to another dimension for ‘a very tiny lapse of time’.

However, that may be just enough time “to peer into this open door, either by getting something out of it or sending something into it.”

 

Another rumour is that the site of CERN sits on a portion of France between the Geneva border and a city named “Saint-Genus-Poilly.”

 

This is alleged to be the same site in ancient Roman times where a temple existed in honor of Apollo and was believed to be a gateway to the underworld.

 

Some are saying that Apollo is the same as Appolyon in Revelation 9:11.

 

CERN is built on the same spot and so within these myths, rumours and false religions, we see a potential parallel with Revelation 9, Abbadon, Appolyon, and the bottomless pit.

 

It also happens that today, September 23^rd, is the supposed date that all of this is supposed to go down, with the portals to Hell being opened;

And it also happens to be the Day of Atonement on the Jewish Old Covenant calendar, or Yom Kippur which began last night and ends tonight.

 

And so much like the sermon a few weeks ago on the Blood Moons & the Shmitah, the purpose of this sermon is to propose an accurate Biblical interpretation of CERN, based on the specific timeline of End-Times events of the Book of Revelation.

 

This was actually supposed to be the final part of that sermon, surrounding the timing of End-Times events, but I ran out of time, so I wanted to cover it here in a brief message.

 

Now, let me just give the spoiler away right off the bat: there’s nothing to fear about CERN and the Hadron Collider, at least as far as it pertains to End-Times events for believers.

 

CERN is The European Organization for Nuclear Research and they operate the largest particle physics laboratory in the world.

 

In fact, the Hadron Collider is the largest machine in the world, measuring a 17-mile loop which sits 575 feet underground.

It is composed of 9,600 super-magnets, which combined are 100,000 times more powerful than the gravitational pull of the earth.

 

• CERN also happens to be the organization that gave us the WORLD WIDE WEB.

 

• Web pages were created as a way for CERN scientists to collaborate information across the globe.

 

• CERN employs thousands of scientists & is funded by hundreds of world governments.

One of CERN’s goals is to recreate the conditions under which the universe was created during the so-called BIG BANG.

 

They are attempting to recapture this by colliding protons together at just below the speed of light, and by doing so hoping to discover the building blocks of the universe.

 

… Or what has been called, “the god particle” or the Higgs BOW-SIN particle.

 

So what is the so-called “god particle”? Without getting too technical, scientists are theorizing that it’s an invisible energy field, like a celestial sea, that determines the mass of all known particles.

 

& By smashing particles together they hope to chip off a portion of the Higgs Bow-sin field, which is an unstable particle and analyze it.

 

The protons within the Hadron Collider complete their circuit 11,000 times per second.

 

And so they hope to see just for a split second a part of the higgs boson particle” at the moment of impact.

 

The Hadron Collider also causes immense heat.

They claim that the heat that will be generated is 100,000-times the temperature at the center of the Sun.

 

So that’s the basic science of it in layman’s terms, but what does the BIBLE have to say about all this?

 

Colossians 1:16-17:

¹⁶ For by him were all things created, that are in heaven, and that are in earth, visible and invisible, whether [they be] thrones, or dominions, or principalities, or powers: all things were created by him, and for him:

¹⁷ And he is before all things, and by him all things consist.

Hebrews 1:3 also says of Jesus: “Who being the brightness of his glory, and the express image of his person, and upholding all things by the word of his power.”

 

Scientists are trying to answer the question: “What is out there? What is the universe made of?”

 

But it’s just another way of trying to find the answer to Life & the Universe & Everything (as sci-fi writer Douglas Adams put it), while denying the existence of God, the Creator.

 

Genesis 1:

1 In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth.

² And the earth was without form, and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters.

³ And God said, Let there be light: and there was light.

 

What CERN has opened is the door for conspiracy theorists to put forward unbiblical pseudo-apocalyptic visions: from opening a stargate in space, to creating a black hole that will suck the entire universe into it, to opening the bottomless pit of Revelation 9.

 

Now I have no doubt that CERN is undertaking wicked, occult, Satanic practices & they are –whether they know it or not – dabbling with demons & the spiritual realm on some level. So nothing good can come out of that.

 

First, if you look at the CERN logo, you can easily identify 666 in their logo.

 

Second, there is a statue of SHIVA, the false Hindu goddess of destruction, which sits outside of CERN headquarters.

 

Now if you look at images of the HADRON COLLIDER itself and compare it to images of SHIVA, with her many arms, performing the “dance of destruction”, it resembles the many arms of the hardon collider itself.

 

There is even a film out where CERN scientists are portrayed dancing Shiva’s dance of destruction and opening some kind extra-dimensional portal where a dark looming, Satanic figure steps through.

 

The machine itself looks diabolical, like something out of a sci-fi movie.   

 

And the most popular theory out there is that they will be opening a portal to the demonic realm and they compare this to Rev. 9:1-2, where the fifth angel of Revelation blows the fifth trumpet of judgment and opens up the bottomless pit:

AGAIN, REVELATION 9:

¹ And the fifth angel sounded, and I saw a star fall from heaven unto the earth: and to him was given the key of the bottomless pit.

² And he opened the bottomless pit; and there arose a smoke out of the pit, as the smoke of a great furnace; and the sun and the air were darkened by reason of the smoke of the pit.

 

But again there’s nothing in the BIBLE about a demonic portal.

 

In fact, the BIBLE says Jesus has the KEYS to death & Hell, not some demon and definitely not CERN scientists.

 

Revelation 1:18: “I am he that liveth, and was dead; and, behold, I am alive for evermore, Amen; and have the keys of hell and of death.

 

AND certain things MUST happen first before Revelation 9 is fulfilled.

 

WE ARE NOT IN THIS TIME OF OUR HISTORY IN REVELATION 9. A lot has to happen first.

 

The BOTTOMLESS PIT is the 5^TH TRUMPET in the book of Revelation.

Four other trumpets have to sound first!

 

The TRUMPETS themselves are revealed by the SEVENTH SEAL. The seals themselves are not the judgments but a revealing of things to come.

 

So when an Angel of God opens up the 7^th Seal, the seal reveals God’s 7 trumpet judgments which initiates the WRATH OF GOD, a series of 7 judgements which are measured out to those who have been left behind … and not raptured.

 

UNBELIEVERS WILL BE LEFT BEHIND … It’s just that Kirk Cameron and the PRE-TRIBBERS have the timing completely off!

 

The Saints will be here for the Tribulation …. But at the opening of the 6^TH SEAL, we will be raptured – we will meet Jesus Christ in the sky ….

 

1 Thessalonians 4:16-17:

¹⁶ For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first:

¹⁷ Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord.

We see this in Revelation 7, at the opening of the 6^TH SEAL, which portrays the sealing of the 144,000 (in the 1^st half of ch.7) and then immediately after in the 2^nd half of ch. 7), the Bible says in v. 9:

 

[READ Rev. 7:9-14].

 

So at this point we see the tribulation has occurred, we see that the 144,000 have been sealed, we see that the rapture has happened, but we’re only still in CHAPTER 7 of Revelation, 2 chapters before the opening of the BOTTOMLESS PIT.

 

Where is Apollyon and the BOTTOMLESS PIT?

 

That’s in REVELATION 9, at the 5^TH TRUMPET.

 

And there still is 4 other trumpets that have to occur first.

 

WHAT ARE THE 4 TRUMPETS?

 

Beginning in Rev. 8.

 

1. Hail & fire mingled with blood which burns up a 3^rd part of the trees and grass. (v. 7).

 

2. “a great mountain burning with fire” being cast into the sea (that could be the predicted asteroid that everyone is talking about or it could be something else, but either way, again, that’s not going to happen until the 2^nd Trumpet … which occurs after the believers are taken into heaven. (v. 8-9)

 

3. a “great star” called “Wormwood” will fall into the rivers and make the waters bitter. (perhaps a nuclear strike?) (v. 10-11)

 

4. a third part of the sun and the moon and the stars are smitten. (v. 12).

 

5. And then … we get to the bottomless pit being opened in REVELATION 9, starting @ v. 1.

 

SO A LOT HAS TO HAPPEN: the tribulation, the rapture, the wrath of God has to first be poured out through the first 4 trumpet judgments, BEFORE the bottomless pit is opened through the 5^th trumpet.

 

In other words, there’s nothing to fear … about CERN.

 

At least not for the believer, because we won’t even be here.

Now … could something happen? Could they blow up a part of Switzerland & France? Some even say that the super-magnets will mess with the gravitational rotation of the earth.

 

But again, that would tear up the planet, and that can’t happen … at least not now.  

 

Now the unbeliever has a lot to fear … because they will be here for God’s wrath …

 

• But one thing they won’t do in 2015 is open up a wormhole, a black hole, a stargate, or the BOTTOMLESS PIT of Revelation 9.

 

It’s just not going to happen, NOT TODAY.

 

And today is the day, Sept. 23^rd, when all the conspiracy theorists are saying it is supposed to happen, but we’re all still here! Nothing has happened! The earth is not shaking or wobbly. The elements aren’t melting.

 

If anything, CERN is a spiritual, demonic distraction to get people’s eyes off Jesus & the WORD OF GOD.

 

It’s to keep Christians confused and distracted & unbelievers to believe anything but the Gospel.

 

I mean, it’s an exciting theory. It’s fun to follow … but it’s not the truth of the Bible.

 

So you can put the conspiracy theories about CERN to rest … insofar as they pertain to Christians.

 

Shiva is not going to dance the dance of destruction … GOD WILL DO THAT IN HIS OWN TIME …

 

… to bring wrath upon those who have not put their faith in Jesus.
