Preach the Gospel to Every Creature
“And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature.” Mark 16:15
Matthew 28:19 says it this way:
“Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost:
This is the Great Commission …
First of all, preaching the GOSPEL is NOT OPTIONAL.
We are all commanded, as believers, to go … “Go ye therefore …”
Go ye therefore and DO WHAT? Teach all nations ….
Psalm 22:27: All the ends of the world shall remember and turn unto the LORD: and all the kindreds of the nations shall worship before thee.
The Great Commission is to all nations …
MARK 16 Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature.”
So we’re to teach all nations … BUT HERE’S THE THING:
• All nations includes our nation. The mission-field is right here …
• And I’m all for international missions …
• But there are so many lost people right here in the United States, right here in our own towns, right here in our own streets …
• And so my goal, is to knock on every single door in this town and in the surrounding regions …
• And there’s no excuse today why we can’t do it …
• Like I talked about last time: we’re free to preach the Gospel in America.
• It’s so easy, it doesn’t cost us anything.
• He just might take away our freedom if we don’t preach the Gospel!
Baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Ghost …
• And how do you baptize them? Practice believer’s baptism
• So if you’re going to baptize someone, first they have to believe
• So the ultimate goal of the Great Commission is to evangelize the lost.
• it’s to preach the Gospel to every creature …
Matthew 28:19 – The Trinity is mentioned right there …
Aside from 1 John 5:7, this is one of the strongest, most direct Bible verses in support of the Holy Trinity, which is under attack today by some who claim the name of Christ and also by the modern Bible versions ….
• Before we move on from Matthew 28, look at the beginning of the chapter, starting in v. 1.
The reason …. Is to point out … that the GREAT COMMISSION is not limited to men, or to pastors, or leaders of the church …
And this is a great opportunity for women to preach the Gospel to the lost.
1 Corinthians 14
34 Let your women keep silence in the churches: for it is not permitted unto them to speak; but they are commanded to be under obedience, as also saith the law.
35 And if they will learn any thing, let them ask their husbands at home: for it is a shame for women to speak in the church.
But that’s for within the church. Soul-winning / preaching the Gospel is not done INSIDE the church. It’s not OUTSIDE the church.
As a saved woman, you have more authority in the Lord, than a man who isn’t saved.
You have the Truth Inside of you.
You have the Holy Ghost inside of you.
This is a great opportunity for women to preach the Gospel.
We should want to preach the Gospel, because we don’t want to see people burn in Hell!
The Bible says hell is a place where “…the smoke of their torment goes up forever and ever, and they have no rest, day or night” in (Revelation 14:11).
Why am I telling you this?
Daniel 12:3
And they that be wise shall shine as the brightness of the firmament; and they that turn many to righteousness as the stars for ever and ever.
That’s talking about soul-winners …
Proverbs 11:30: The fruit of the righteous is a tree of life; and he that winneth souls is wise.
CONTEXT: Proverbs 11:25-26
We need to be wise in our soul-winning.
Matthew 10:16
16 Behold, I send you forth as sheep in the midst of wolves: be ye therefore wise as serpents, and harmless as doves.
A Church without soul-winning is a dead church.
Soul-winning should be the center of the church’s primary mission …
Acts 20:27
“For I have not shunned to declare unto you all the counsel of God.”
So let’s look at some of the major methods of soul-winning:
(1) Door to Door soul-winning.
LUKE 14:23
And the lord said unto the servant, Go out into the highways and hedges, and compel them to come in, that my house may be filled.
This is the most neglected method of soul-winning, and the most important.
It’s the method that we have a clear directive from the Bible on …

20 [And] how I kept back nothing that was profitable [unto you], but have shewed you, and have taught you publickly, and from house to house,
21 Testifying both to the Jews, and also to the Greeks, repentance toward God, and faith toward our Lord Jesus Christ.
Acts 5:42:
And daily in the temple, and in every house, they ceased not to teach and preach Jesus Christ.
When we go soul-winning we follow the model of being sent out two-by-two. That’s the Biblical model …
Mark 6:7: And he called unto him the twelve, and began to send them forth by two and two; and gave them power over unclean spirits;
Luke 10:1, [he also commissioned the seventy, who went out two by two:]
After these things the Lord appointed other seventy also, and sent them two and two before his face into every city and place, whither he himself would come.

26 And whosoever liveth and believeth in me shall never die. Believest thou this?
Soulwinning is addicting, once you get over initial fear.

(2) Relationship Evangelism / Friendship Evangelism
This includes preaching to family, friends, co-workers, etc.
Here’s the problem w/ relational evangelism:
• It’s usually an excuse not to go door-to-door soul-winning!
• They know I’m a Christian, they see how I’m different, etc. but you never actually preach the Gospel to them.
• And You could spend decades trying to save people you know, and most of them might not get saved.
It’s important … We should preach to those we love …
But don’t make it your sole aspect of soul-winning.
In Galatians 2:1-2 Paul describes his return to Jerusalem after 14 years to preach the Gospel. And obviously he’s made some relationships there.
1 Then fourteen years after I went up again to Jerusalem with Barnabas, and took Titus with [me] also.
2 And I went up by revelation, and communicated unto them that gospel which I preach among the Gentiles, but privately to them which were of reputation, lest by any means I should run, or had run, in vain.
• Paul must have had a relationship with those “which were of reputation” because he went to them and preached privately to them.
1 Corinthians 9:22
To the weak became I as weak, that I might gain the weak: I am made all things to all men, that I might by all means save some.
• So preaching the Gospel should permeate every aspect of our lives and impact every relationship that we have.
• But it shouldn’t be vague.
• You actually need to sit down w/ your friends and take them through the steps of salvation.

“How then shall they call on him in whom they have not believed? and how shall they believe in him of whom they have not heard? and how shall they hear without a preacher?”
• One great way … is to have a Bible study …
(3) Internet Evangelism
If that’s all your doing … that’s a problem …
Here’s the problem w/ internet evangelism: contentious debates.
Make a How to Get Saved Video, a Bible Plan of Salvation …
CONCLUSION
ALWAYS PRAY BEFORE YOU GO OUT.
PRAY FOR PREPARED HEARTS / PRAY FOR BOLDNESS …
Matthew 9:37-38

38 Pray ye therefore the Lord of the harvest, that he will send forth labourers into his harvest.
Ephesians 6:18-19

19 And for me, that utterance may be given unto me, that I may open my mouth boldly, to make known the mystery of the gospel,
PRAY FOR THE HOLY GHOST TO GO BEFORE YOU.
DON’T NEGLECT THE HOLY GHOST WORKING IN YOU & THROUGH YOU
Acts 1:8
But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth.

What’s your #1 goal of soul-winning? It’s to save souls, right?
You already know that the majority of people you meet are not saved.
MISSION ISN’T to determine they’re not saved.
We already know they’re not saved …

if they ask you something you don’t know, just tell them you’ll look into it and get back to them next time …
Most of time people aren’t asking the big theological questions …
If they don’t want to talk, or are busy … just give them 1 verse … John 3:16, Ephesians 2:8-9.
